Hello Kitty & Friends Sand Picture
ハローキティ&フレンズ砂絵ワークショップ
(210 楓ルーム)
Back by popular demand! The Hello Kitty & Friends Sand Picture workshop will be offered throughout the weekend. Please visit us in the Kaede Room (210). Recommended for children over 6 years old and takes approximately 20-30 mins. Completed sand pictures will be placed in a paper frame to take home. $5 per picture, one picture per child. Cash only.

昨年の祭りで大人気だったワークショップが再び開催されます! ハローキティ&フレンズ砂絵ワークショップは祭り期間中いつでも参加できます。日系センターの2階、楓ルーム(210)に是非 お越しください。ワークショップは6歳以上のお子さま向けで、作成には約20〜30 分かかります。仕上がった作品は紙のフレームに入れてお持ち帰 りいただけます。 費用は一枚につき5ドル。数に限りがありますので、おひとりさ まにつき1枚までとさせていただきます。支払いは現金のみ受 け付けます。

 

Yukata Kitsuke
浴衣着付けワークショップ (240 畳ルーム)
Yukata = summer kimono. Get dressed in a traditional yukata by the Satsuki-kai dance group and enjoy the festival in traditional garb! Supply your own yukata, or rent one from us to snap some quick photos (30 min limit)! It’s a great way to experience wearing a yukata. Not just for ladies – men and children are welcome too. Come and see us in the Tatami Room (240). By donation to the Satsuki-kai Dance Group to support Nikkei Centre. Cash only.
浴衣姿で祭りに参加しましょう!日舞グループの『彩月会』メン バーが着付けいたします。浴衣をお持ちの方はぜひご持参くだ さい。貸し出しも行っております。貸し出しの方は浴衣姿で30分 間、写真撮影や館内での散策をお楽しみください。浴衣を着るま たとないチャンスです。女性だけでなく、男性、お子さまも是非 お試しください。 着付けは畳ルーム(240)で行われます。彩月会の活動を通して日系センターを支援するため、着付け代として現金でのご寄付をお願いしております。

日本の中古書籍・ブックセール
Used Japanese books are for sale in the Nikkei Used Book Store (245) and the Tsubaki Room (200). Affordable books for everyone!
$5 minimum purchase. Cash only.
中古の日本書籍を手頃な値段でお買い求めいただけるブックセールは日系古本屋さん(245)と椿ルーム(200)にて行われます。
最低購入量は5ドルより。支払いは現金のみ受け付けます。

Kids Craft Zone
Let’s craft at Nikkei Matsuri! Come to the Matsu Room (201) for kids crafts, face painting and balloon art. $2 Matsuri Money per child to enter.
フェースペイント、バルーンアートなどのキッズクラフトは松ルーム(201)にて行われます。是非お子様を連れて遊びに来てください。入場はお子様一人につき$2の祭りマネーとなります。

 

Sake Tasting Seminar 

(Ages 19+, photo ID required)

The SAKE Association of BC will host tasting seminars where you can sip a range of sake and learn more about this traditional Japanese beverage. Pre-register at the desk in front of Matsu Room (201) starting at 11am. Spaces limited to 30 seats per session – don’t wait as they sell out quickly! 3 sessions per day.

Duration: 1 hour (4 varieties of sake) Fee: $10 per person. Cash only.
