We are thrilled to welcome Samurai Artists, KAMUI, as our special guests from Japan, who will grace the stage at the upcoming Nikkei Matsuri.

This captivating performance is sponsored by the Consulate-General of Japan in Vancouver, showcasing the richness of Japanese culture.

KAMUI is renowned for merging the elegance of form, acting, and martial arts, captivating audiences worldwide. Their remarkable journey has taken them to prestigious venues like the Kennedy Center in the U.S., and Pergola Theater in Florence.

Notably, KAMUI’s leader, Shimaguchi, left an indelible mark on Quentin Tarantino’s film KILL BILL Vol. 1, choreographing thrilling sword-fighting scenes and even appearing as Crazy 88’s “MIKI.” Recognized as one of the best fight scenes of the 21st century, Shimaguchi’s talent earned him immense praise.

In 2012, KAMUI’s leader Shimaguchi established their own Samurai Method, KENGIDO, offering sword technique training in Japan and various countries worldwide. They also played a vital role in the creation of the short film Diamond Route Japan, promoting the revitalization of Fukushima, which garnered over 15 million views and worldwide acclaim.

Having collaborated with renowned figures such as soccer player Ronaldinho and French actor Gérard Depardieu, KAMUI has become a leading force in disseminating the artistry and cultural significance of the Samurai worldwide.

We are honoured to have KAMUI grace our stage at Nikkei Matsuri. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to witness the captivating allure of Japanese Samurai culture.
